Many neighborhood residents and community groups want to know:
"How Can Neighbors Make Metro’s Codes Work?"
On Saturday, October 15th, the Neighborhoods Resource Center and
Vanderbilt
University School of Law’s Community & Economic Development Legal
Clinic are co-sponsoring a Leadership Training event to discuss the
specific laws that set minimum property standards for our community,
identify who is responsible for enforcing them, and develop
strategies for making the system work better!
We will also discuss ways for neighborhood leaders to participate
in the current systems, and create action strategies on how the
systems can be improved!
This event will be held in the auditorium of Senior Citizens,
Inc. at 174 Rains Ave on the edge of the Tennessee State Fairground.
The training will
begin at 9:00 AM, and wrap up at noon. There is no charge to
attend, but registration is necessary. Refreshments will be served.
To register for the event please call Blaine Ray at 782-8212 Ext.
