Dear Website Visitors,

Since Halloween is nearing and since we have a lot of children in our division, and, more importantly, since my household bought lots of treats last year and only got about three hits – here’s a suggestion that I have for the community.

Households wanting to participate in Halloween treat giving tie an Orange and Black ribbon around their mailbox and keep their porch light on.  This way parents will know where they are welcomed for trick or treating and this will give folks the opportunity to get out and meet their neighbors.  Hopefully this will help parents feel secure in the community and we will see lots of movement on the streets of our community Halloween evening.

Bob - I think planning community activities is a good way to encourage a feeling of security and “home” within our community.  The activities could be around a holiday, an occasion like back to school, or - just because.  If you have anyone interesting in such, I will be happy to also help.

Again Bob, the website looks fantastic!!

-Toni Lee-
